How Malegra Works

The primary and most active ingredient in Malegra tablets is sildenafil citrate

The primary and most active ingredient in Malegra tablets is sildenafil citrate, which works as an inhibitor of the cGMP-specific phosphodiesterase type-5 (PDE-5) enzyme. This enzyme aids in smooth muscle relaxation by breaking down cGMP.

The smooth muscles' cGMP levels rise when the PDE-5 is inhibited, which causes the muscles to relax and the blood vessels to dilate, or widen.

Since sildenafil is so well-known for being a PDE-5 inhibitor, the Malegra tablets also belong to this class.

Taking the Malegra 100 tablets aids in the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) because PDE-5 is also found in the lungs.
